On Tuesday representatives and assessors from across the country met with government policy makers and stakeholders for the annual PEPA Conference. Hosted in Derby, it provided a welcome opportunity to hear plans from various government departments and political parties.
High on the agenda were the upcoming changes to EPCs, particularly the new timeline for the implementation of changes to domestic assessments. Clarity was also provided on the Prime Minister’s recent policy announcements for the domestic private rented sector. Updates regarding grant funding, particularly the Energy Company’s Obligation (ECO) and the new Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) were also provided as both schemes begin to pick up pace.
